Bulk copper cables are large-quantity, unterminated spools of copper wire (typically 1000ft) used for high-performance voice, data, and video networking, such as Ethernet (Cat5e/6/6a). They offer cost-effective, custom-length installation for infrastructure, utilizing either pure solid copper for superior, high-speed, and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) performance, or cheaper copper-clad aluminum (CCA). They are usually sold on reels or in pull boxes (e.g., 1000 ft) rather than pre-terminated, allowing for custom-length, long-distance runs between patch panels or workstations. Solid Copper standard makes permanent, high-performance infrastructure and better for longer distances and PoE. Stranded Copper are more flexible and ideal for patch cables. CCA(Copper Clad Aluminum) is cheaper, less reliable alternative to pure copper, which is generally not recommended for high-performance networks. They are vailable in Cat5e (up to 350 MHz), Cat6 (up to 550 MHz), and Cat6a (up to 10G) for high-bandwidth applications. They are used in data centers, commercial, and residential buildings. They feature specific jacketing for fire safety, such as CMR (Riser) for vertical runs between floors or CMP (Plenum) for air handling spaces.  It contains 4 twisted pairs of conductors to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk, sometimes shielded (F/UTP or STP) for extra protection.

FTTx Solutions

Fiber to the "x" (FTTx) refers to various broadband network architectures that use optical fiber for part or all of their last mile connectivity. The "x" signifies the fiber termination point, covering deployments like FTTH (Fiber to the Home) / FTTP (Fiber to the Premises), FTTB (Fiber to the Building/Business), FTTC (Fiber to the Curb), FTTN (Fiber to the Node), FTTA (Fiber to the Antenna), FTTR (Fiber to the Room), etc
