They prevent "cable spaghetti," improve airflow for cooling, reduce electromagnetic interference, and make maintenance safer and easier. Key types include horizontal and vertical managers, trays, and ties. It keeps cables neat, reducing the risk of accidental unplugging and simplifying troubleshooting. It minimizes fire hazards from overheating (due to blocked airflow) and eliminates tripping hazards. Horizontal managers are often rack-mounted (1U or 2U) with fingers or rings to manage cables between patch panels and switches. Vertical managers are installed along the sides of server racks to manage high-density cable runs. Cable trays and raceways are used under desks or in data centers to support cable bundles. Cable ties/vecro are used to fasten cables together. It Improves network performance, allows for easier future upgrades, and creates a professional appearance.
