LSA-PLUS modules (often just called LSA modules) are high-density, tool-less termination blocks used in telecommunications for connecting, disconnecting, and switching copper cables. Invented by CommScope, they utilize a gas-tight insulation displacement connection (IDC) technique, making them reliable, fast, and suitable for MDF/IDF, cross-connection cabinets, and voice/data networking. They come in two main types: connection modules (permanently linking wires) and disconnection modules (allowing separation of circuits for testing). They allow for one-push, solder-free, and screw-free wire insertion using a special insertion tool. Typically, there are 10-pair or 20-pair modules (e.g., Series 12) are used to save space in cabinets. The LSA-PLUS contact ensures high contact safety, even in challenging environmental conditions. Overvoltage protection magazines can be added to protect sensitive equipment.
